Kitchen - Weaste Lane, Manchester

Project cost - £30,000 - £35,000

This bespoke installation was designed as a fully integrated suite of spaces, with the kitchen forming the heart of the home and the bar, pantry, and utility flowing seamlessly from it. The focus throughout was on material continuity, refined detailing, and everyday practicality, creating a home environment that is both elegant and highly functional.

The kitchen carcasses are manufactured from Egger Beige Textile, providing a soft, neutral base, while the exterior cabinetry is finished in crown-cut oak veneer, stained in Rubio Monocoat Dark Roast. This finish highlights the natural grain of the oak and introduces a rich, contemporary tone that defines the space. All hardware and internal accessories are by Blum, including soft-close drawers, internal cutlery compartments, and pull-out waste systems, ensuring smooth operation and long-term durability. A black Gola handrail runs across the main kitchen runs, maintaining clean, uninterrupted lines, while the fridge and pantry doors feature solid oak moulded handles, stained to match the veneer, offering a subtle point of craftsmanship and distinction.

Worktops across the kitchen, bar, pantry, and utility are finished in 30 mm Taj Mahal quartz, tying all areas together with a consistent, warm, and elegant surface. The pantry has been designed as a feature in its own right, with oak veneer internally to maintain material continuity, while bespoke solid oak spice racks provide practical storage and reinforce the handcrafted nature of the space.
The bar area mirrors the kitchen’s finishes and detailing, creating a seamless transition between cooking, entertaining, and social spaces. This consistent use of materials allows the bar to feel like an extension of the kitchen rather than a separate zone.

In the utility room, functionality takes priority without compromising quality. Oak melamine carcasses paired with shaker-style painted doors create a durable yet softly traditional aesthetic. Thoughtful features include lift-up wall cabinets above the sink for easy access and a pull-out shelf positioned between the washer and dryer, maximising usability in a compact area.

Together, these spaces form a cohesive, carefully considered installation where bespoke craftsmanship, premium materials, and meticulous detailing work in harmony. The result is a refined, practical, and visually unified environment that elevates everyday home life.
