Children's Bedroom - Little Mayford

This bespoke children’s playroom and sleep space was designed to combine imaginative play, storage, and comfort within a single, cohesive structure. The installation transforms the room into a playful yet sophisticated environment, perfectly scaled for young children while remaining elegant for the home.

The joinery was crafted from high-quality birch plywood, finished in a natural, light-toned veneer to highlight the grain and provide a warm, inviting feel. Circular and arched windows, slatted panels, and scalloped detailing were incorporated to create visual rhythm, softness, and architectural interest, while also allowing light and sightlines throughout the space.
Open shelving and cubbies provide accessible storage for toys and books, encouraging independence and organisation, while a rope climbing net and elevated playhouse platform introduce physical activity and imaginative play. Integrated LED lighting highlights key areas and can be controlled via a remote, allowing the space to adapt for different moods and times of day.

The overall design balances functionality with aesthetics, ensuring the playroom is both a stimulating environment for the child and a calm, refined space within the home. Every element was carefully considered, from safety and durability to finish and flow, resulting in a room that grows with the child and remains a striking feature of the home.
